At Meadows Crossing Apartments, located conveniently across the street from Grand Valley State University in Allendale Township, we are more than just a place to live—we are a community that thrives on connection, engagement, and friendships within student housing. College life is more than just academics; it’s also about building relationships and creating memories that will last a lifetime. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for our residents through “Meadows Meet-Ups.”
What Are Meadows Meet-Ups?
Meadows Meet-Ups are weekly events organized and facilitated by our Community Assistants throughout the school year and summer. These events are designed to bring residents together, offering them opportunities to leave their apartments and come into a welcoming space where they can engage with their neighbors and create new friendships.
Why We Do It
Our mission at Meadows Crossing goes beyond providing student housing—we aim to create a positive living experience for each of our residents. We believe that a strong community enhances quality of life and supports personal growth, mental well-being, and academic success. By fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, we hope to make Meadows Crossing not just a place to stay while at school but a place you can call home.
What to Expect at Meadows Meet-Ups
Each Meadows Meet-Up is planned with many activities in mind to keep events fun for our residents. Whether you’re passionate about sports, enjoy being creative, or give back to the community, you’ll find an event that resonates with you.
Here’s a glimpse of a few of the activities you can look forward to while living at Meadows Crossing:
Sporting Events: Stay active and have fun with your neighbors through friendly competitions or casual games, from basketball tournaments to beach volleyball.
Creativity and Art: Show off your inner artist with painting nights, DIY craft sessions, and other creative events where you can express yourself and share your creativity with others.
Community Service: Join your neighbors and Meadows staff in giving back to the community through organized service projects, such as neighborhood cleanups, charity drives, and volunteer work.
Food, Drinks, and Desserts: Bond over shared meals and sweet treats at our cookouts, coffee bars, and ice cream parties.
Holiday Parties: Celebrate the festive seasons with your neighbors at our holiday gatherings, whether it’s a fall hayride, a Friendsgiving party, or a Christmas gathering for residents to enjoy each other’s company.
At Meadows Crossing Apartments, every resident has something to contribute to our community. Through Meadows Meet-Ups, we aim to create a space where those contributions can be shared, friendships can be formed, and a sense of belonging can flourish. We always look forward to seeing new and familiar faces at each event!
