Meadows Crossing Offers a First-floor Bedroom Choice

The biggest advantage that Meadows Crossing’s townhomes have within the competitive off-campus apartment market near GVSU is their design. We built our townhomes with the comfort, safety, and privacy of our students in mind. The features we included in our townhomes continue every year to provide students with a shelter against the stress and pressure of college. Their bedrooms are a place where they can study, rest, relax, socialize, and be themselves. Additionally, we offer a unique option in one of our townhome styles: a first-floor bedroom.

What Do Students Want in a Townhome?

We’ve asked our residents what it is that they appreciate about the townhomes at Meadows Crossing. What they tell us is revealing about what college students want in terms of living space. They want to have their own bedrooms for privacy. They want a bathroom they do not have to share. They want a quiet space to study, and they want to be near the university so they don’t have to waste too much of their scarce time commuting back and forth from school.

Meadows Crossing’s complex delivers on each of these preferences, and this advantage is unique to us. Other apartment complexes have their bedrooms all grouped together because it’s easier to design and build a complex that way.

A First-floor Bedroom Choice

One of surprises Meadows’ management has discovered over the years is that many students choose the bedroom that is away from the other bedrooms in the townhome for further privacy. In our Style A townhomes one of the four bedrooms is on the main floor. This turns out to be a coveted spot because it’s on the first floor by itself. Some residents want a room a little more removed from the socializing and coming and going of their roommates.

This first-floor bedroom is often the first bedroom chosen of the four. In nearly every group of roommates there is a person who wants more privacy and doesn’t want to deal with stairs. Another advantage of this particular bedroom is that it’s easier to get to. It’s located only 10 feet from the townhome’s front entrance. That makes it easier and faster for that resident to come and go – without an audience.

Not every Meadows Crossing floor plan has a first-floor bedroom. We offer eight distinctive floor plans to accommodate a variety of needs. This gives our residents a lot of choice in how and where they want to live in our complex. If you are looking to rent a room that offers both bedroom and bathroom privacy, quiet, and convenience, call us today. We will be happy to go over our townhome styles and availability with you.
