Can students terminate their leases early if they transfer schools, graduate, have a family emergency, or experience another unforeseen problem?

Students who want to terminate their lease before the lease term begins may do so if they find a replacement tenant and pay the early termination fee. Students who want to terminate their lease during the lease term may do so by finding a replacement tenant and signing a lease assignment or sublease agreement.

Are Meadows Crossing residents allowed to have pets?

Yes, pets are allowed. All pets must be registered with the leasing office. Pet fees/rent and breed restrictions apply. If you have an ESA accommodation request, please notify the leasing office right away to begin the process. All necessary paperwork will need to be completed before approval can be granted. Meadows Crossing has an online parking pass system that is simple and convenient for everyone to use. At any time residents can print a pass for their guests to place on their car dashboards and park wherever there is an available parking space within the lot. At other apartment communities residents can only obtain guest parking passes during business hours.

I’ve heard parking is a problem for apartment residents near GVSU. How much parking does Meadows Crossing make available for its residents?

Parking is a problem at other apartment communities near GVSU because they do not provide a parking space for each resident. This creates limited resident and guest parking. Parking is not a problem at Meadows Crossing because the number of parking spaces exceeds the number of residents. So there are plenty of resident and guest parking spaces available at Meadows Crossing.

I’m a member of a sorority or fraternity. Can we all sign up and get our townhomes in the same building? Are there rooms where we can have meetings?

Yes. That is very possible. It would be best if you and your friends all came to the office together to select where you would like to live. If necessary, we can come to your meeting and get you signed up together. However, since time is limited, it would be best for you to stop by the office. To ensure that you are living as close together as possible, this should be done as soon as possible. There are facilities at the community building where you may hold your meetings. You would need to make advance arrangements with the on-site management to ensure availability of facilities.

What if I can’t find other roommates?

No problem. If you are ready to sign a lease with us and you do not have roommates to live with, we will put you in touch with other individuals who are looking for roommates. Our roommate finder, RoomSync, is a helpful tool.

Can I live with the people I choose, or will Meadows Crossing assign my roommates? Do we have to sign up at the same time?

It is preferred that you determine who your roommates will be. If you have not selected any roommates, we will help find roommates for you. Also, consider using our roommate finder.

What if I leave school early? What happens to my townhome?
