Meadows Crossing was recently named the #1 off-campus student housing community in the nation on a list of highly ranked student properties! We are both honored and pleased to be recognized for our hard work managing our off-campus student housing property here in Allendale, Michigan.
#1 Off-Campus Student Housing in the Nation Based on ORA Scores
Multifamily Executive published their Top 100 Properties on February 23, 2021. Their rankings were based on ORA scores. What are ORA scores? Online Reputation Assessment, or ORA scores, are the result of reviews left by people across multiple review sites. These are collected and scored on a 1-100 scale, making them simple to monitor and rank. They can be used by property managers to compare and improve their services to their residents.
Meadows Crossing was ranked the No. 1 student housing property for 2020, with an ORA score of 96! This means we are in the top 1% of all student housing in the nation, according to the reviews left by satisfied residents online. For reference, the national average score for off-campus housing is a 65.73.
All 100 properties included in the Top 100 had an ORA score of 85 or higher and had a minimum of 20 online reviews on at least two review sites. Higher rankings were given to properties with a greater numbers of reviews. The scores of more than 2,600 off-campus student housing properties were used to compile the Top 100.

When we learned that we had been named #1 of all the off-campus student housing properties in the United States, we were stunned. Our staff at Meadows Crossing always does our best to accommodate our student residents and improve our property and services. We work hard every day to try to make the experience as perfect as possible for our residents. Still, much of that work, like so many everyday things, goes largely unnoticed. It’s wonderful to be acknowledged and appreciated!
