Meadows Crossing is, without a doubt, the place to be during GVSU’s Welcome Week! This year we will be celebrating the Third Annual Meadows Crossing Splash Bash. What is a Splash Bash, you ask? A week long pool party with free food from your favorite local restaurants, music provided by one of Grand Rapids’ best DJ’s, and a chance to meet other Meadows Crossing residents!
The Splash Bash begins on Monday, August 19th and ends on August 23rd, starting at 2pm and ending at 5pm each day. Your favorite local restaurants will be handing out free food at the pool all week from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Menna’s Joint will be joining us on Monday, Mancino’s will be providing free subs on Tuesday, free pizza from Jet’s Pizza on Wednesday, Peppino’s Pizza on Thursday, and free subs from Jimmy John’s and pizza from Hungry Howie’s on Friday! The new Allendale Scoops Ice Cream will be stopping by to provide their delicious ice cream all week, along with Red Bull for some free energy drinks! Grand Rapids DJ Mike Tharp will be playing today’s hottest hits from 2-5 pm at the pool, so come and join everyone and don’t be afraid to show off your dance moves. Just want to relax? Feel free to grab an inner tube and float the day away or soak up the sun in our awesome beach chairs! What’s not to love about free food, drinks, and great time with friends by the pool all week long?!
Josh, one of our residents attended Splash Bash last year said, “Meadows Crossing was one of my best choices while attending GVSU. I had so much fun at all of the events, especially at the Splash Bash. I was a tenant for two years and I participated in the events, such as the hula hoop contest, bumper tubes, and of course the free food. It was so much fun both years. I really enjoyed it!”
We here at Meadows Crossing believe that the Splash Bash is a great way to welcome new and returning residents back to school, by bringing everyone together and having a great time! Whether you’re an incoming freshman, or a super senior, you will surely have a great time getting to know your neighbors and soaking up the sun. With fall semester just around the corner, the Splash Bash is a fun week where you won’t have a care in the world!
