Meadows Crossing’s Rec Room – Our 24-hour Hangout Spot

At Meadows Crossing we are proud of our townhouses and apartments and the privacy that their unique design provides for our tenants. However, people often like to mix and mingle with others in larger spaces than traditional apartments generally provide. This is why we created our Rec Room and why in 2017 we completely revamped it – to give our tenants a large, luxurious hangout place to eat, play games, and spend time with friends and neighbors.

The Rec Room has plenty of room for any kind of gathering, whether you need it to watch the game, to play pool, cards, or board games, or to bake cookies at midnight with 10 of your best friends. What’s available? Everything you’d want for impromptu fun, including:

• A comfy seating area
• 75” flat-screen televisions
• A pool table
• A ping pong table
• Shuffleboard
• Arcade game console

We live in Michigan, so getting out is more challenging in the winter than in the summer. The Rec Room offers somewhere to be that is close by, easy to reach on foot, and warm and comfortable. Located in our retail building between Cottage Inn Pizza and The Gentlemen’s Quarters, the Rec Room can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with the same electronic fob that tenants use to access our other amenities. It’s a safe and secure space available for our tenants and their guests to relax.

College is a unique time in life. There is so much change and so many new experiences. It can sometimes be a little overwhelming. Our goal is to provide our tenants with what they need in terms of housing and amenities so that they can spend their energy developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities and eventually take on the wider world when they leave GVSU. We are constantly updating our amenities here at Meadows Crossing in order to make our apartment complex the best home away from home for students in Allendale. In the past year we created our new Package Center and expanded and hugely improved our Fitness Center with many new pieces of equipment.
