What to Look for When Leasing Your Off-campus Apartment Near GVSU

Another year has just begun at Grand Valley State University. Students are getting settled into their living situations and their routines. It may seem like it’s too early to start thinking about the 2020 school year, but it will be here before you know it. Have you thought about where you want to live in 2020? Meadows Crossing is beginning leasing for 2020-2021. If you don’t know what off-campus living near GVSU is like or why you should consider living here in our apartment complex, read on.

What to Expect from the Leasing Process

If you are a freshman, you may never have leased an apartment before. If you don’t know what the process is like, don’t worry. We will make it very painless for you. If you are considering renting at Meadows Crossing, you can click here to register for a tour, call and schedule one, or just drop in. If we are open, one of our leasing agents will be able to show you the many amenities our complex has, including a model townhome unit. 

The leasing tour takes about 20 minutes. We begin by highlighting our 8 different floor plans so that you can see what you will have to choose from in a unit. From there we will show you the highlights of our property, beginning in the leasing office. Many of these are unique to our complex, and we have designed and implemented them to make student life easier and more enjoyable for our residents. 

Why Should I Lease from Meadows Crossing?

What are you looking for in an off-campus apartment? If you ask our other residents what they like about Meadows Crossing, they will say that they love that it is so close to campus. No other apartment complex is nearer to GVSU. We are one bus stop away from campus both going and coming home. Our location will save you hours and hours of time in commuting to and from campus during the school year. You can walk or bike to school; it’s that close. 

Another concern is security. How safe is the apartment complex you are considering? We have professional security on site every night to help keep our residents and their property secure. We also offer safe walks to any of our residents who would like an escort to walk them home at night for any reason.

Without stable, responsive management, your renting experience will not be very good. Meadows Crossing is locally owned and managed. Our management company has been named one of the top property management companies in greater Grand Rapids. Don’t just take it from us, though. If bathroom privacy is important to you, we offer private bathrooms in every room. We also have half bathrooms in most units so that no one has to sacrifice their bathroom privacy to any visitors who come over to your townhome to socialize.

Meadows Crossing also provides abundant parking for our residents and an excellent online parking pass system for their guests. If you have a car, you can park it in any space in our lot, and you will be only steps away from the front door of your townhome. In the winter when the weather is bad, you will be very grateful not to wade through acres of snowy parking lot!

Our townhome units are fully furnished and offer plentiful storage, both in each room and throughout the townhome unit. Moving in and out is a snap because most of what you will need to live comfortably is already here. That will save you (and your parents) both time and expense. 

We have so many amenities. Some of them are wonderful and obvious, like the pool and the Fitness Center (the best off-campus gym, bar none). However, our basketball and volleyball courts, our luxurious Rec Room, our Tanning Center, and our new and uniquely designed Package Center all offer their own benefits to living in our community. If you like to exercise and socialize with friendly people, Meadows Crossing is #theplacetobe.
