If you are new to our Meadows Crossing housing community, welcome! We are glad to have you here. This is a great place to live, full of friendly GVSU students. For students who are new to living in off-campus housing, you may find a few challenges ahead. In this blog we will talk about what […]
How to Prevent Apartment Fires
Fire safety is something that everyone needs to become familiar with, especially people who live in apartments, dorms, and other multi-use buildings. The consequences of careless actions can affect many people. The purpose of this blog is to help our residents become more aware of fire hazards and simple fire safety precautions that can be […]
Find Your Perfect Roommate at GVSU
One of the advantages of living in off-campus housing at Meadows Crossing is that all of our residents have their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Our townhouses provide much more privacy, which helps improve roommate relations. Often our residents apply to live here already knowing the people they want to live with, but sometimes we have […]
Good Customer Care Is Central to Our Mission
Meadows Crossing is very proud of the outstanding facilities and amenities that we offer our residents, but we are also proud of the customer care that we give to them. Some apartment complexes try to hook residents with a bunch of flash and giveaways. This is an easy way to get attention. We have found […]
Reasons for Optimism in 2022
The past two years have been challenging for the entire world. They have upended the college experience here on GVSU’s campus too. If you asked people in February of 2020 what the next few years would look like, almost everyone would have gotten it wrong! It’s still difficult to predict what exactly will happen going […]

Let’s Work to Fight COVID at GVSU
The COVID pandemic is not yet over, unfortunately. The numbers for COVID-19 are even higher than they were last year at their peak. This week, Michigan reached a new record for adults hospitalized with COVID with 4,181 currently hospitalized. Hospitals are struggling to keep up with the need for care. We currently have the highest inpatient bed use in the country in our state. This is obviously a concern, so we thought we would go over what we at Meadows Crossing are doing to fight COVID, as well as what GVSU is doing and what our residents can do to protect their own health.
Why Townhome Living at Meadows Crossing is Superior
In your mind’s eye, when you think of apartments near GVSU, you probably think of garden-style apartments. Not all off-campus living units are apartments, though. Some are townhomes. That’s the style of living we offer at Meadows Crossing. We believe townhome living is superior to apartment living in every way. If you are a first-time renter or a freshmen transitioning from dorm living, here’s what you need to consider before you sign your apartment lease.
The Emergence of Self-Guided Tours
When deciding on a new apartment community to live at, scheduling a tour is perhaps the most crucial part of the process. A tour allows you to get one-on-one time with a leasing agent who will show you what the community has to offer as well as answer any of the questions you may have. […]
